to the Parish of

Winfrith Newburgh and East Knighton, Dorset.

Winfrith Newburgh is within a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty and on the edge of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

Located between Dorchester and Wareham, with a parish population of 660, Winfrith Newburgh and East Knighton is an active and friendly community orchestrating numerous regular events and social groups.

The Winfrith History Group has, and continues to record the history of the Winfrith Newburgh and East Knighton settlements, in particular capturing images, documents and memories about the village, creating an accessible archive for all to enjoy; young and old.
