The Winfrith History Group was founded to record the history of the settlements of Winfrith Newburgh and East Knighton, and particularly to capture the memories of some of the villagers for future posterity.

Over recent years, the group has been carrying out interviews and gathering photographs, documents and information about the village, creating an accessible archive.

Documentation available on this website includes Censuses, Deeds and transcripts of interviews with local people.

We are always keen to receive new information, be it photographs or residents willing to share their knowledge.
